About this Event
The NASA Land-Cover and Land-Use Change (LCLUC) satellite program uses images from space to help us learn more about the earth. The program uses satellites to observe changes over time to teach us more about the water we drink, the food we eat, and the environment we live in. LCLUC satellite missions are currently providing important data to scientists about natural disasters, environmental changes, the effects of agriculture, and the health of forests and wetlands. Scientists use this data to inform decision makers about possible effects of natural and manmade changes. You are invited to listen as Dr. Garik Gutman, the LCLUC Program Manager at NASA Headquarters, presents on the achievements of the program and discusses NASA science collaboration with the Vietnam National Space Center (VNSC), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) and other international partners.
Following Dr. Gutman’s presentation, please join us for a panel discussion about the challenges Vietnam is currently facing and how the United States and Vietnam are working together to learn more.
