King’s University College dưới sự lãnh đạo của Hiệu trưởng Tiến sĩ David C. Malloy đang xây dựng mối quan hệ văn hóa và học thuật mới giữa Việt Nam và Canada. Trong chuyến thăm Việt Nam, đoàn trường Đại học King’s đã chính thức ký Biên bản ghi nhớ (MoU) với Trường Đại học Quốc tế là một bộ phận không thể thiếu của Đại học Quốc gia Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Sự hợp tác này nhằm mục đích tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho sinh viên và giảng viên, các chương trình trao đổi có sự tham gia của sinh viên, giảng viên và nhân viên của cả hai bên cũng như hợp tác nghiên cứu và lộ trình 2+2 độ.

Phát biểu về hiệp hội thì Tiến sĩ David Malloy, Chủ tịch trường Cao đẳng Đại học King nói: “Quan hệ đối tác trong nội bộ viện ở các quốc gia khác nhau là yếu tố chính trong mục tiêu quốc tế hóa của King. Sự hợp tác này sẽ cung cấp một bệ phóng thú vị cho sự hợp tác hơn nữa trong các lĩnh vực khác nhau, bao gồm cả sự di chuyển qua lại của giảng viên, nhân viên, sinh viên và nhà nghiên cứu. Chúng tôi mong muốn được hợp tác và phát triển với Đại học Quốc tế để đẩy mạnh hơn nữa mục tiêu quốc tế hóa cho tất cả mọi người liên quan. Học kỳ này, 20% sinh viên của King là sinh viên quốc tế và một phần nhỏ trong số này đến từ Việt Nam. Các sinh viên và cựu sinh viên Việt Nam của chúng tôi là những thành viên đặc biệt trong cộng đồng của chúng tôi và chúng tôi rất mong được chào đón thêm nhiều người trong số họ! Biên bản ghi nhớ được ký kết giữa King’s và Đại học Quốc tế dựa trên việc tổ chức các thỏa thuận chuyển tiếp 2+2, trao đổi sinh viên tương lai, luân chuyển giảng viên, hoạt động nghiên cứu chung và hợp tác trên một số lĩnh vực, có thể là kinh tế, phân tích và khoa học quyết định giữa các trường đại học. Phát biểu về hiệp hội thì PGS.TS. Giáo sư Đinh Đức Anh Vũ, Phó Hiệu trưởng Đại học Quốc tế nói: “Sự hợp tác này hứa hẹn sẽ là chất xúc tác quan trọng trong việc nuôi dưỡng khát vọng của sinh viên và thúc đẩy sự xuất hiện của những nhà lãnh đạo tương lai, những người sẽ dẫn dắt cộng đồng toàn cầu. Sự hợp tác này đánh dấu một cột mốc quan trọng đối với King’s và đánh dấu sự phát triển của Việt Nam trên thị trường giáo dục đại học quốc tế. Cả hai viện đều tin rằng những mối quan hệ hợp tác này sẽ mang lại lợi ích cho việc trao đổi sinh viên, giảng viên, nhân viên và nhà nghiên cứu tham gia như một cơ hội để phát triển những quan điểm, ý tưởng và kiến thức mới.

Là một phần của MOU ban đầu thì một số ý tưởng ban đầu đã được đưa ra về thỏa thuận 2+2, trao đổi sinh viên vì mục đích thực tập, di chuyển ra nước ngoài trong học kỳ và/hoặc cho các mục đích học tập khác. Theo Biên bản ghi nhớ thì cả hai tổ chức đều thể hiện mong muốn hợp tác trong tương lai trong 5 năm tới.

Canada based King’s University College signs MoU with International University, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City to strengthen academic ties with Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, Oct. 12, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — King’s University College, under the leadership of President Dr. David C. Malloy, is building new academic and cultural ties between Vietnam and Canada. During their visit to Vietnam, the King’s University College delegation formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International University which is an integral part of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City. This collaboration aims to facilitate student and faculty pathways, exchange programs involving students, faculty, and staff from both sides as well as research collaborations and 2+2 degree pathways.

The MOU signed between King’s and International University is based on organizing 2+2 transfer arrangements, future student exchanges, faculty mobility, joint research activities and collaborating on several fields, possibly economics and analytics and decision sciences between the universities. As part of the initial MOU, some initial ideas were generated about 2+2 agreements, student exchanges for the purposes of internships, semester abroad mobility, and/or for other academic purposes. As per the MOU both the institutions are signifying their desire for future collaboration over the next five years.
