SBV revokes license of HCMC Sub – Branch of ANZ Bank
The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No. 429/QĐ-NHNN on March 06, 2014 on revoking the license of the Sub – Branch of the ANZ Bank in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).
Accordingly, on the basis of the proposal of the ANZ Bank on transfering of assets and liabilities from its sub-branch to its wholly foreign – owned bank in Vietnam and revoking license of HCMC Sub-Branch, the SBV Governor has decided to revoke License No. 08/NH-GPCN of the HCMC Sub – Branch of the ANZ Bank dated January 19, 1996
The ANZ Bank is responsible for continuing to meet the arising tax obligations (if any) from the transfering of assets and liabilities of the HCMC ANZ Bank Sub-Branch.
The Decision took effect on the date of signing.
