Book Club Activities

Book club is now back at the American Center! Join us on every second Monday of the month to read, discuss, and discover American culture through contemporary short stories. Our June book club will introduce you to short, humorous stories in “Me Talk Pretty One Day,” written by American author David Sedaris. Bring your friends and get ready to learn more about American sense of humor!
Applying for Graduate Students in the United States: Choosing, Applying and Financing

If you have finished your undergraduate studies and would like to apply for graduate study in the U.S., this presentation will provide you some important insights in to choosing the right institution that fits your academic preparation and the desired field of study; the application process to graduate schools in the U.S, including general admission requirements for international students.; and some strategies to secure financial support for graduate studies.
MOOC Camp: Analyzing Global Trends for Business and Society – Session 4

MOOC Camp: Introduction to Public Speaking – Session 7

Come practice what you have learned from the online course with your peers and train to become a better public speaker. Participants who attend six out of seven weekly discussions at the American Center and complete a project assigned by the speaker will be eligible to receive a certificate of completion.
