Calling all “The Hunger Games” lovers! Join us for a session which focuses on “The Hunger Games” book series in the context of other dystopian fiction (“Divergent”, “The Maze Runner”, “The Giver”, etc). The interactive talk also gives you context for thinking about dystopian fiction— its structure, historical background in Western literature, common themes, and how it differs from apocalyptic fiction. Let’s discuss what the popularity of “The Hunger Games” suggests about where we think we are headed, and how we can go where we want to be.
