Speaker’s bio: Nguyen Hong Quan is an open source advocate from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Quan co-founded AgriConnect in 2013, an award winning startup that develops Linux based IoT solutions for agriculture including mushroom farms, hydroponics farms and swiftlet houses. He joined FOSSASIA Community since early days, and has been working as a lead developer/contributor for many projects including SUSI.AI, PSLab, EngelSystem and Eventyay.
Quan has a profound knowledge of different programming languages including Python, JavaScript and Rust. He loves sharing knowledge and helping others to get started with open source software and hardware. He has been mentoring students during the Google Summer of Code contests through FOSSASIA continuously since 2016. Quan has spoken at many open tech conferences throughout Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
